The provision of features such as a ghost island or a deceleration lane at a rural T-junction is considered to be most appropriate at those junctions with moderate to high flow of traffic. This consideration was put to the test using a resticted sample of junctions with moderate to high traffic flowso as to examine the effect of the junction features at such junctions.
